Gamma radiation can be produced by both natural and man-made sources and abnormally high exposure levels could lead to an increase in cell damage. In this study, gamma radiation was measured at different locations and any correlation with various geographic factors, such as distance from a city center, elevation and proximity to the nearest nuclear reactor, was determined.

The authors looked at using genetic algorithms to look at the Indian labor market and what features might best explain any variation seen. They found that features such as economic growth and household consumption, among others, best explained variation.

Here the authors aimed to find the best preservative combinations to stop bacterial growth in food, using data modeling and biochemical experiments. They discovered that single preservatives are often not enough, with varying effectiveness against different bacteria, and suggest future research into combining preservatives for better results.
