The authors test the effects of pH level on different kinds of dental cement to model the long-term effects of reflux-induced stomach acid exposure.

Dental resins can be a source of reactive oxygen species (ROS) which in unruly amounts can be toxic to cellular and overall health. In this report, the authors test whether the consumption of antioxidant rich foods like avocado and asparagus can protect against the effect of dental resin-derived ROS. However, rather than testing humans, they use fruit flies and their climbing abilities as an experimental readout.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, people are missing important appointments because they are viewed as nonessential, possibly including children's pediatric dentist appointments. This study aims to determine how the COVID-19 pandemic has effected parents' willingness to allow children to visit pediatric dental practices and what safety measures would make them feel more comfortable visiting the dentist. The authors found a weak positive correlation between parents' unwillingness to allow their child to visit the dentist, however overall anxiety towards visiting the dentist during the pandemic was low.

Recognizing the increasing threat of acid deposition inn soil through the reaction of NOx and SO₂ pollutants with water in Spain, the authors investigates the effects of Al(NO₃)₃ concentrations on the health of Allium sativum. By tracking its mitotic index, they found a negative exponential correlation between Al(NO₃)₃ concentrations and the mitotic index of A. sativum.

Surveys of 8th and 9th graders were used to assess compare technology usage between males and females as well as and how social media usage impacts the perception of social environment at school.
