Hannah Thompson joins EIC Team

Hannah is a predoctoral candidate in the Department of Physiology at Michigan State University, completing her dissertation under Dr. Jennifer Doherty. Her research focuses on how students learn physiology and identifying practices that enhance physiology education for all learners. Previously, Hannah was a lecturer at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she taught several courses in human physiology and anatomy. She earned her Bachelor's degrees in Human Physiology and Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a Master's in Physiology from the University of Michigan.

Hannah began her involvement with the Journal of Emerging Investigators as an Associate Editor and Reviewer in spring 2023, later stepping into the Managing Editor role in spring 2024. She is excited to support aspiring scientists and advance the journal’s mission as a co-Editor-in-Chief. Outside of academia, Hannah enjoys swimming, learning new languages and playing Riichi Mahjong.
